Dr. Charles H. Cosgrove is Emeritus Professor of Early Christian Literature at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. With a distinguished career in academia, he has authored numerous books, including his most recent works Fortune and Faith in Old Chicago: A Dual Biography of Mayor Augustus Garrett and Seminary Founder Eliza Clark Garrett, and Music at Social Meals in Greek and Roman Antiquity.
A lifelong resident of the Chicago area, Charles is deeply passionate about the city's rich history. Beyond his scholarly pursuits, he is also a talented jazz trombonist and occasionally performs at local music venues.
