From farmland to "ghost house" to townhomes, the property which is now the Cherry Creek subdivision in Grayslake has an interesting history.
Jane Trump of the Grayslake Historical Society will share the stories of the pioneer family that built the house, the violent deaths that caused rumors it was haunted, the colorful residents who later lived there, the fire that destroyed it, and how the land became Cherry Creek.
The Cook Memorial Public Library District serves communities in northern Lake County, Illinois: Libertyville, Green Oaks, Vernon Hills, Indian Creek, Mettawa, and parts of Mundelein.
