Join us to discuss THE KINGDOMS OF SAVANNAH by George Dawes Green. For a copy of the book, contact Amy Becker-Perez at aperez@cooklib.org. DROP IN

The murder of a homeless white kid and the abduction of his friend, a Black archeologist, attract the wrong kind of attention to tourist-dependent Savannah. Morgana Musgrove, matriarch of a once powerful family and unlikely detective, investigates alongside her granddaughter and estranged son. Their search for answers uncovers ugly truths that challenge Savannah’s elite and powerful, putting her family at risk and forever altering their view of the city they love. Green’s gripping novel explores themes of history and power alongside dynamics of contemporary social issues through the lens of a compelling literary thriller.
