Jennifer Evans, the visionary behind Periwinkle Art Studio, has been inspiring creativity since opening her studio in late 2014. A mixed media artist with a passion for art’s transformative power, Jennifer believes that creativity is not just a hobby but a vital aspect of our well-being. Art brings joy, fosters emotional expression, and enhances cognitive function—plus, it's an enjoyable journey for everyone involved!
A proud graduate of Southern Illinois University with a degree in Journalism/Advertising, Jennifer combines her artistic talents with her background in visual communication and sociology. Her diverse career has spanned roles as a graphic designer, magazine publisher, art director, and marketing/PR professional, showcasing her extensive skills in both creativity and communication.
After a hiatus from painting, Jennifer rediscovered her love for art while creating heartfelt gifts for friends. This rekindled passion sparked a journey into mixed media exploration, where she adeptly blends pen and ink, colored pencil, watercolor, acrylics, and collage. Additionally, her creativity extends to crafting stunning jewelry using gemstones, crystal beads, and repurposed vintage items.
