Nine year old Addy Walker and her mother escape a life of slavery during the Civil War. Their journey on the Underground Railroad is one of bravery and hope. Juneteenth marks the day that all the slaves were liberated by President Abraham Lincoln. Beginning work on a freedom quilt will mark this special day.
