Join us for a musical tour of Brazil with accomplished lead singer Luciano Antonio and his trio who are shaking up the Brazilian music scene in Chicago.
The trio will present a wide variety of Brazillian compositions. Listen for a fascinating mix of musical offerings, from rich and complex harmonies paired with simple rhythms to simple harmonies and melodies paired with very complex rhythms. We will also hear a fabulous sampling of songs from the three albums Luciano has released. Two of the albums feature original music: "Vida De Artista - An Artist's Life" in 2011 and “Sem Palavras – Without Words” in 2015; his 3rd album is a live concert at the prestigious Jazz Showcase in Chicago.
Luciano was born into a musical family in rural Iretama, Parana, Brazil’s southern region. From this melodiously rich environment, he learned first how to sing with his mom, Luiza Maria. He further developed his vocal abilities through his maternal grandparents, who performed for local live radio shows and paternal grandparents, who harmonized beautifully.
