Indigenous Boarding and Residential Schools & the Pursuit of Truth and Reconciliation is an in-depth panel discussion with exclusively Native people speaking their voices and sharing their stories.
Presented in collaboration with the College of DuPage Native American Studies Committee and partnering Illinois public libraries, this final installment of a three-part Native Voices webinar series will examine the abuse, neglect and trauma Native children suffered at residential schools across Canada and the U.S. over the past 150 years, the meaning and pursuit of truth and reconciliation for these atrocities, and the path forward regarding accountability, restitution, and healing.
