BeSmart: Best Practices for Firearm Storage & Child Safety

BeSMART is a framework to help keep communities safe by promoting responsible gun ownership. Whether you?re a gun owner, or you know someone who is, there is a role for everyone in the conversation.

April Oboikowitch is an attorney living in Libertyville with her husband and three daughters. She volunteers for BeSMART for Kids and is passionate about gun violence prevention.

Secure storage is a key component in curbing gun violence, and April looks forward to sharing more information on how you can help. 

BeSMART is a framework that parents, caretakers, and community leaders can follow to help keep their communities safe.
