Winter is the perfect time to start native plants! Many need a period of cold before they can sprout. Come learn about winter seed sowing and take home a jug with native seeds you can grow.
Daniel Smith, coordinator of the library's Seed Library, will lead this workshop. Donated native seeds from local gardeners will be provided. Registrants will be able to choose from several different varieties.
The Cook Memorial Public Library District serves communities in northern Lake County, Illinois: Libertyville, Green Oaks, Vernon Hills, Indian Creek, Mettawa, and parts of Mundelein.
