Those old family photos tucked in boxes and albums hold stories worth saving. During Digital Preservation Week, April 26 - May 2, the Library invites you to bring in a few of your cherished photos and let us help you preserve them digitally so they can be shared, enjoyed, and remembered for years to come.
Register for a time to meet one-on-one with Library staff to scan your photos. They will guide you through the digitization process and show you how to use the software. You will leave with a USB of digital copies of your photos.
Participants may bring up to five photos to digitize, no larger than 8.5" x 11".
If you have any photos that are of local history interest you will be given the option to also share a digital copy with the Libertyville Historical Society.
The Cook Memorial Public Library District serves communities in northern Lake County, Illinois: Libertyville, Green Oaks, Vernon Hills, Indian Creek, Mettawa, and parts of Mundelein.
