About the book:

In the small town of Cape Haven, California, fierce 13-year-old Duchess Day Radley imagines herself an outlaw willing to do anything to defend her little brother. The police chief clings to the past while trying to protect the Radley kids, whose mother can barely care for them. Both must face a difficult situation when a former town resident returns after a long stint in prison in this mesmerizing and surprising thriller.
