Meet Sarah Aronson, author of Just Like Rube Goldberg, on Zoom! She'll read aloud her inspiring, funny biographical picture book, and help you make your own machine to pour cereal into a bowl!
Calling all young artists and inventors – discover the incredible true story of the man behind the machines and award-winning cartoons who became famous by inventing crazy, brilliant, impractical, funny stuff – and then, never actually made any of it! Adults and children attend together, but only children need to be registered.
Before the program, children who want to make the machine should gather any of the following:
ball or something on wheels
toilet paper rolls
cardboard
tape, scissors
picture books (hard cover) or dominoes
bowl
cereal
Want to get more complicated?
Look around:
ball maze toys
train tracks and train
Anything that creates forward motion can be part of a Rube Goldberg machine!
