The North Shore Line had intercity rail, commuter rail (including a branch line to Libertyville and Mundelein), electric freight, city streetcars, and even buses. It has been gone for 60 years, but it will always remain the Road of Service.
Join David Sadowski, author of the new book Images of Rail: The North Shore Line, for a review of the electric railroad's history. Books will be for sale. A Libertyville Historical Society program.
