About the book: Arthur Dent, an utterly ordinary man, escapes Earth moments before it’s demolished—to make way for a hyperspace bypass. Swept into a wildly absurd universe with a two-headed ex-president, a perpetually depressed robot, and a book that insists “Don’t Panic,” Arthur discovers that space is vast, bureaucratic, and deeply unconcerned with human logic.
