Thanks to Napoleon, Central European records can be found easily. Learn more from Jacquie Schattner as she introduces the record types and countries as well as the strategies that will yield success.
This class will guides participants through both European and American resources to locate family in the countries where Napoleon ruled (France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Northern Italy, and surrounding areas). We will discuss the influence of the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Era on genealogy as well as how to use archives, including church, civil, and military records, to uncover the stories of your family.
