About the book:

The Briar Club unfolds in a shabby 1950s Washington boardinghouse where a magnetic new tenant, Grace March, lures her guarded neighbors—an ex-ballplayer, a polished English mother, a cop’s daughter tangled with a gangster, and a fervent Red Scare crusader—into fragile fellowship, until violence forces them to reckon with hidden loyalties.
